Thank-you for your
interest in participating in Evergreen Zone (EVZ) for the 2008 show season!
Membership
entitles you to sign up for year end awards, and to qualify for the team
representing EVZ at the Zone Challenge year end horse show.
The Zone Challenge is a three (3) day show will be held the first weekend of October.
The process is
simple. Complete the Year End Sign
Up sheet, the Zone Benefits Show donation sheet and return them along with a
check to cover year end classes, the newsletter fee & the zone benefits
donation. Additionally you need to
provide a copy of the 2007 Washington State Horsemen membership card, and if you
are signing up to do breed classes (AQHA, APHA) a copy of your horses breed
registration papers.
You are probably
wondering which shows count for points in EVZ.
A calendar showing all approved shows within the EVZ geographical area
can be found by following this link.
Additionally,
you may obtain points at recognized shows held in other zones with who EVZ has
reciprocal arrangements.
After you complete
your registration, you will receive a copy of the current rulebook and will
start to receive the monthly newsletter, Impulsion.
Please remember
that in order to be eligible for year end awards you must attend a minimum of
two EVZ meetings, for complete rules please refer to the Rules
for Year End Awards. Please follow

End Awards. General meetings
are held the first Thursday of each month, except for January & August – when
there is no monthly meeting. In
order to qualify for the EVZ Zone Challenge team, you must fulfill your meeting
requirements before August 1. This
means that the July meeting is your last chance to meet the 2nd
meeting requirement. A parent or
guardian may attend on behalf of a junior member.
If you are not affiliated with an EVZ club and are interested in joining EVZ you
will need to obtain a Washington State Horesemen's Card. Complete this form and return it to
the address on the form.

Returning Members
The fee per class is $5.00 for each class you sign up in for year end awards.
Bareback equitation classes are now split by seat. Please sign up for bareback – English and for bareback – Western separately. They are now individual classes and should be signed up for as such. Please remember to indicate which seat you are signing up for. You may of course sign up for both as individual classes if you’d like to.
Trail classes are now split by seat. Please sign up for trail – English and for trail – Western separately. They are now individual classes and should be signed up for as such. Please remember to indicate which seat you are signing up for. You may of course sign up for both as individual classes if you’d like to.
The Impulsion newsletter fee has been changed to $5.00 per person/household as most people receive it by email which greatly reduces the costs associated with the newsletter.
Remember, in order for your points to start counting
for the 2008 year, Debbie must have a copy of your WSH card, with applicable amateur
stamp if 18 & over, before your points can count. If you are showing the same horse as in 2007, Debbie will have a copy
of your breed papers, if applicable. If
you have a different horse & are going to sign up for breed classes, Debbie also
need's a copy of your breed papers before those classes can count.
Please make sure your telephone number & email address are on your sign up forms & are legible. Also, for everyone in the under 18 divisions, please include your parents email address if it differs from yours. Barbara will have no way to contact you with questions or information without those!
